Video to link

A screen recording is too big to email and too small to justify uploading somewhere public. 2L gives it a link that plays immediately.

Drop anything. Get a link.

Drag it here, paste it, or press to choose a file. 2L works out what it is and shows it properly.

What you get

Not just somewhere to put it.

The link is the easy part. What matters is the page on the other end of it.

Plays where it lands

A real player with a scrub bar, volume and full screen. Seeking works properly, because the file is served with byte-range support rather than being downloaded whole before it will start.

No transcoding, no queue

The video is available the moment the upload finishes. Nothing sits in a processing pipeline re-encoding it and degrading it.

Up to 2 GB

Chunked upload with resume, so a long recording over a home connection is not lost to one dropped packet.

Questions

About video to link

Which formats play in the browser?
MP4 (H.264) and WebM play essentially everywhere. MOV usually plays on Apple devices. MKV and AVI are stored faithfully and offered as downloads, because no browser will play them — 2L does not pretend otherwise.
Is there a length limit?
Only the file size limit for your plan. A twenty-minute screen recording is usually well inside it.
Can people download it?
By default yes. On Plus and Pro you can turn downloading off, leaving the video playable but not saveable in one click.
What happens if a link gets very popular?
Each link has a monthly transfer allowance by plan. Reaching it pauses that link rather than billing you, and it resumes at the start of the next month.
Everything else

The same box takes all of it.

There is no format menu anywhere in this product. These pages exist because people search for them, not because 2L works differently for each one.
